Vehicle Data Generator — How It Works

The Vehicle Generator creates complete fictitious Brazilian vehicle data for software testing, quality assurance, and development environments. This tool is essential for QA engineers, developers, and testers working on automotive systems, insurance platforms, fleet management software, and government DMV applications that need realistic but non-real vehicle data.

The generator produces license plates in both formats: the modern Mercosul standard (ABC1D23 — three letters, one digit, one letter, two digits) adopted across South America since 2018, and the legacy Brazilian format (ABC-1234 — three letters followed by four digits). You can choose to generate exclusively one format or mix both randomly.

For vehicle identification, the tool generates chassis numbers (VIN) following the ISO 3779 international standard with 17 characters. Each VIN includes a valid World Manufacturer Identifier (WMI) for Brazilian manufacturers, a correctly calculated check digit at position 9 using the standard transliteration and weighting algorithm, and a Vehicle Identification Section (VIS) with model year and sequential number. The RENAVAM numbers are generated with 11 digits using the official Modulo 11 algorithm with weights 3, 2, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, ensuring the check digit is mathematically valid.

Beyond documents, the generator provides realistic vehicle details including brand and model from the top 10 Brazilian market manufacturers (Chevrolet, Volkswagen, Fiat, Toyota, Hyundai, Honda, Jeep, Renault, Ford, Nissan) with their actual model lines. Additional optional fields include vehicle color (10 common Brazilian colors), manufacturing year (2000-2026), and category (Passenger, SUV, Pickup, Sedan, Hatch, Crossover, Utility). You can generate up to 50 vehicles at once with full copy-to-clipboard support. All data is generated entirely in your browser — no information is transmitted to any server. The generated data is completely fictitious and does not correspond to any real registered vehicles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the generated data from real vehicles?
No. All data (plate, chassis, RENAVAM) is fictitious and randomly generated. It does not correspond to real registered vehicles.
Does the generated RENAVAM have a valid check digit?
Yes. The RENAVAM is calculated with the official Modulo 11 algorithm (weights 3,2,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2), producing a mathematically valid check digit.
What's the difference between Mercosul and old plates?
Mercosul plates follow the ABC1D23 pattern (3 letters, 1 digit, 1 letter, 2 digits) adopted from 2018. Old plates use the ABC-1234 format (3 letters, 4 digits).
